Blunt started with a simple observation: the things people say out loud when they're comfortable are way more interesting than the things they put on gifts. People are funny. People are honest. People have thoughts that are dark and real and human and true — and the gift industry has been completely ignoring all of that in favor of 'Live Laugh Love' and scented candles since approximately forever.
The Gap We Saw
There are plenty of brands making beautiful gifts. Plenty making useful gifts. Plenty making expensive gifts. But almost nobody making honest gifts — gifts that say the actual thing, the real thing, the thing that makes someone laugh because it's true rather than because it's supposed to be funny.
That was the gap. We decided to fill it.
